SportsLizard.com Launches Enhanced Sports Collectibles Browsing Application

ALBANY, NY (PRWEB) March 2, 2006

Sports collectibles marketplace SportsLizard.com has launched a new collectibles browsing application that enables visitors to browse and compare collectibles from multiple web sites, including eBay and Amazon. The free browser-based application is now available online at http://www.sportslizard.com/browse_enhanced.php.

Launched yesterday, the unique application has a menu on the left and five blank boxes on the right. Users add items to the boxes by browsing through the menu and selecting only the type of collectibles that they are interested in. For instance, one user could compare baseball autographs from multiple sites, while another user could compare autographs across all sports being sold exclusively on eBay. All of this is accomplished without the user needing to refresh their browser.

Currently, users are able to browse items from eBay, Amazon, Entertainment Earth, and SportsLizard.com, with more sites planned to be added in the future. If customers already know exactly what they are looking for, they can forgo the browsing application all together and perform a search of all of the sites.

The enhanced browsing application was designed to act as a starting point for collectors who are looking to get quick and accurate comparisons of the collectibles available across the web. Previously, collectors had to visit each site individually as well as each category within that particular site, which could result in going back and forth between several browser windows.

The application was developed by integrating the recently launched Yahoo! UI Tree Library with Inline Frames utilizing CSS, PHP, XHTML, and JavaScript.
