Carson City, NV (PRWEB) November 28, 2005
Travel meta-search engine Travelgrove, today announced that they had launched a beta version of their new travel deals section that will search the web for the best deals for travel.
While the directory is in beta, the search company will allow travel suppliers and merchants around the world to post a limited number of deals inside the directory for free! In addition, Travelgrove will continue to develop its technology to grab more deals from the vast jungle of internet travel sites. To gain more objectivity, Travelgrove will also soon allow several sorting options.
Besides the current text link deals, there will also be the opportunity to add micro-sites for companies that rather not get traffic to their site directly.
The company is optimistic about the users’ experience with such a tool and is hoping that the popularity of such a directory would soon offer great opportunities for advertisers as well.
Travelgrove has been developing an XML interface as well as a simple JavaScript feed to distribute these deals to its network of publisher sites.
“It’s a matter of time until we fill the directory with deals and get both advertisers and users to be excited about this new feature. We will be working on this directory for another 6 months until we get out of beta, once that happens, you should expect Travelgrove to heavily push it to the market”, Peter Suhayda, CEO of Travelgrove explains.
In order to grow the directory quickly and more efficiently, Travelgrove is counting on the continued growth of its publisher network that is excited about travel search in general and can drive a solid amount of traffic to the company’s search features.
In addition, the company is planning to mix in relevant travel deals into the regular meta searches the site already performs.
The deals directory can be found under http://www.travelgrove.com/travel_deals.php.
