Philatelic News Clip Service on RSS News Syndication Format

Algés, Portugal (PRWEB) November 29, 2004

Philatelica is announcing their newly created service ‘News Clipping’ now available in your Stamp Issue® site.

This service allows daily access to the most important news regarding Philately, through automatic and manual filtering processes of more then 115,000 news which are available from about 8,000 online sources in the press, radio and television.

“When we make available in our site, the titles of the main news related to Hobby, as a way to enlarge the choice, we have noted the suppliers inability to provide this service, due to the fact that the automatic filtering is not possible. The word “stamp” can be used in several ways, and can be found in the stamp industry, sports, social welfare and even used as a surname in some English speaking countries. The only feasible option was then, to implement ourselves this service” – argued Eduardo Miranda, CEO of Philatelica

The service can be accessed free of charge in the Stamp Issue® web site (http://www.stamp-issue.com), and can also be made available under the form of RSS feeds (Really Simple Syndication) allowing in this way to open the news on News Readers applications or input them within any website that can manage XML files. For websites that cannot support this format, in early 2005 we are providing a JavaScript interface.

The installed informatics syndication structure can satisfy more than 1.7 million requests/per day.
