Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) December 7, 2004 -
In an ongoing effort to offer its clients the best service and access, the Law Offices of David Asser have teamed up with INSZoom to provide a case management system that allows clients to always be informed about the status of their case.
With our secure, online Case Management service powered by INSZoom.com, you can always track your case status anytime, and from any location. This service is here to keep you connected to the issue that matters the most to you: your immigration process says Asser. The main goal of the technology is to give us and our clients full access at any time of the day. Most of our clients arent locally situated, and because of the time difference it is important that they can see what is going on with their case within their own time zone.
Asser: With the full integration of INSZoom into our practice, we are able to have the billing, accounting, credit card processing and case management in one place without having to acquire additional software packages. Document management as stated above is handled in our INSZoom program. Since Immigration is so incredibly forms driven, it has been an important step for us to have developed a system that is able to be an all-in-one.
The development and implementation took several months, but the system has now been fully implemented into the practice.
The firms server supports the top-of-the-line case management system. The firm in partnership with INSZoom, uses Web based technology that allow the clients to access data on a 24/7 basis. The technology uses Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Microsoft SQL server 2000, Adobe Acrobat Writer 5.0, IIS 5.0 with DotNet Frame work, ASPDotNet, COM components, Microsoft Transaction Server, JavaScript, HTML, VB Script and Adobe Script. The information stored is backed up by an Hourly Transaction Log Backup, a Daily Full Database Backup. Moreover the data is backed up every day in two remote geographical locations (California and Virginia). The site is fully secured with Cisco Networks PIX- Firewall, Check Point Software for Firewall and Intrusion Detection and uses Anti Virus Software from Network Associates/MacAfee.
For the last five years I was closely involved with the development of similar products with two very large immigration law firms, says Asser. What I learned was that with the available technology that proprietary software is too costly and inefficient. It doesnt provide your clients with the flexibility they need. Neither does it help the firm with adapting quickly to new developments. I also learned that it is very important to spend a lot of time beta-testing a product before implementing it. You dont want your users experience problems, just because you didnt wait with making it available until it was ready. Therefore we decided to spend a lot of time with development before implementing the product. This also has kept the costs down and I can now offer state-of-the-art technology that many of the big firms dont have, and at a very affordable price, without having to charge my clients for it. Actually it is cheaper than many of the other products that are on the market.
The Web-based technology that the firm offers is a valuable tool for clients who want to access their information to either edit, view or add to it. Clients can upload their own documents, so theres no need to use the fax machines as much and it saves on paper quite a bit.
Neither the client nor the attorneys have to be in the office to work on their case. As long as they have an internet connection, the work can continue, speeding up the process tremendously.
Asser again: What is really important is to understand your own needs and not reach too far. Most law firms want to impress, but forget that the technology has to be practical and it is needed to support the practice, rather than to sell.
Instead of thinking of a new purchase, the firm wants to make this technology available to international companies so they can manage their global movements and cases without having to incur high management fees that law firms currently charge them. Companies who use this technology will be able to manage cases in more than 30 countries. They can effectively eliminate the middle man and communicate directly with a legal representative in the country that the assistance is needed. This service is part of the global consulting practice that the firm is offering.
According to Asser, the companies basically are charged twice. With this product he effectively has cut out the need for the global visa practice that corporate law firms currently offer at a very high price.
I cant wait to show my product to the Human Resources departments of these companies, says David Asser. As soon as they see it, theyll realize that it will lower their management fees tremendously and improve efficiency with at least 50%. These so-called global visa practices that corporate law firms charge companies up to $ 1,000 per case just to manage it. The services then are still rendered in the country where the employee is going to and that provider will also charge a fee.
The Global Immigration Edition of the product facilitates visa-processing capabilities around the world. The companies may process, file and track these visas in-house or even outsource their immigration needs to multiple law firms, and yet have complete and central control of their immigration data. The employee profile information may be extracted from HRMS database like Peoplesoft or SAP HR and these HRMS database could be updated with the latest immigration case status and document expiry status. The immigration information from INSZoom may also be merged with your HR portal for easy access by your employees.
