Irving, TX (PRWEB) June 14, 2010
Five presentations from US-Analytics Solutions Group have been selected for the Oracle Development User Group (ODTUG) Kaleidoscope Conference this June in Washington, D.C.. Held annually for Oracle developers and architects, ODTUG Kaleidoscope offers over 170 in-depth technical sessions and hands on training around Hyperion applications and infrastructure, Essbase, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), BPM and more.
Every year, the Kaleidoscope conference provides the right combination of technical depth, passionate interaction with the peer community and a touch of fun, with great products that everyone wants and needs, said Jon Rambeau, Director of Consulting at US-Analytics.
We’ve attended Kaleidoscope for several years now, and believe it’s one of the most valuable conferences for the Oracle Hyperion community, said Wayne Conrad, Vice President of US-Analytics. We’re looking forward to sharing our best practices and tips again this year.”
The consulting firm will cover the following:
1.) ’5 Things You Can’t Do in Hyperion Planning (and how to do them …)’
Every packaged application has a defined set of functionality that Hyperion Planning addresses, but few customers are ever satisfied with these predefined limits. Technical experts who have worked with Hyperion Planning packaged applications over many years often develop a “bag-of-tricks,” and are able to address many typical customer requests. This presentation will cover five commonly requested features in Hyperion Planning that aren’t available out-of-the-box, and how to address them.
2.) ‘Introduction to Custom JavaScript within Hyperion Planning’
Hyperion Planning provides developers with pre-built “stubs” enabling the incorporation of custom code to affect the functionality of a Web input form. This presentation will walk developers through the process of creating their first JavaScript customizations, and will provide several useful examples, tips and tricks for creating more advanced customizations.
3.) ‘Essbase Custom-Defined Functions The Hidden Gem’
Learn how to take advantage of Essbase custom-defined functions in the real world with how-to tips, integration with Cloud data and custom calculation algorithms.
4.) ‘Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Best Practices for Large, Complex Installations’
Learn Oracle Hyperion infrastructure best practices for large, complex installations in three major areas: security, sizing and high availability. Also learn about the performance and economic trade-off considerations every infrastructure consultant should bring to their customers.
5.) ‘Thinking out-of-the-box with HFM’
Learn how limitations in the out-of-the-box Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) product can be overcome with creative use of the available product toolsets. Learn how Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase can be made even more valuable by using their extended architectures for custom solutions.
