Genuitec, LLC, a founding and strategic member of the Eclipse Foundation today announced the production release of MyEclipse 8.6. The latest release provides developers with unmatched speed and flexibility in the generation of production-ready JavaScript code, new Struts 2 graphical editing support and, for MyEclipse Blue customers, extra WebSphere power with new Application Client Project support.
New for MyEclipse 8.6, JavaScript developers will discover that the MyEclipse tool suite has been enhanced to provide faster and smarter development through intelligent content-assist, validation, and inbuilt support for prototype, jQuery and more. The enhanced support allows developers to complete, test and debug their JavaScript code with unmatched speed.
Another widely anticipated feature in MyEclipse is the news Struts 2 Graphical Editor, introduced in the initial milestone of MyEclipse 8.6. Developers can now create or edit packages, actions and action results graphically, making it easy to visualize often-complex Struts 2 configuration files.
MyEclipse continues to provide overwhelming value to customers across all product lines, said Fernandes. Our goal is to have any single feature in MyEclipse be worth the entire purchase price, and I believe we have accomplished that again in MyEclipse 8.6.
MyEclipse Blue Edition customers will be pleased to see Application Client Project support included at no extra charge. This final release in the 8.x series really tidies things up, said Brian Fernandes, MyEclipse product manager for Genuitec.
