AVIcode, Inc., the leading provider of real-time, always-on application monitoring solutions, today announced the Intercept uX Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007. This management pack extends Operations Manager 2007 by enabling end user experience monitoring, further complementing the AVIcode set of .NET application performance monitoring solutions. With this release, AVIcode becomes the first solution vendor to provide all five dimensions of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) within the Operations Manager environment.
In its first Application Performance Monitoring1 Magic Quadrant market study, Gartner Inc. defines five core dimensions of application performance monitoring. According to Gartner analyst, Will Cappelli, the five dimensions are a result of the increasingly recognized importance of APM that takes into account the management problems entailed by modern application architectures. Cappelli also acknowledges that during the past year, APM vendors have come to recognize that all five dimensions are equally critical, and the vendors are, through either acquisition or internal development, adjusting their product portfolios accordingly.
With the introduction of the Intercept uX Management Pack, AVIcode now extends its solution set, which covers all five dimensions, into the Operations Manager 2007 environment. Those APM dimensions are:
