Intertech to Deliver Free JQuery Presentation

Intertech (http://www.Intertech.com) will deliver a free JQuery presentation. The presentation will be delivered at Intertech’s headquarters in Eagan, MN and live over the Internet.

This is one of a series of free events providing Java Training.

While many JavaScript frameworks can boast large libraries of widgets and utilities, jQuery separates itself from the pack by providing one of the simplest APIs around. Functionality which would typically take dozens of lines of code in traditional JavaScript, can be accomplished with just a few lines in jQuery. As a result, jQuery has quickly become one of the most popular JavaScript frameworks available.

In this Oxygen Blast, attendees will learn how to update and simplify your Web applications with jQuery. This includes an introduction to the main syntax, methods, and plug-ins that are provided by the jQuery API. Traditional JavaScript examples will be compared and contrasted with their jQuery equivalent to emphasize its organizational benefits and remarkable ability to drastically reduce the amount of JavaScript code required. se

The learning objectives for this presentation include:

-Understand the purpose and advantages of using jQuery.

-Learn how to add jQuery to your Web applications.

-Become familiar with the jQuery object, its primary methods, and the benefit of implicit iteration.

-Use jQuerys rich selector API for an easy way to match individual and sets of elements.

-Reduce and organize code by leveraging jQuerys Ajax utilities.

-Quickly add and customize sophisticated GUI Widgets through jQuery plug-ins.
