Intellidimension RDF Gateway Supports W3C Web Ontology Language (OWL) For The Semantic Web

(PRWEB) September 14, 2003

The Web Ontology Language (OWL) is a critical component in implementing the Semantic Web. OWL is a standardized notation for describing the meaning and relationships between terms in a vocabulary in a way that allows computers to understand the data they interchange. OWL builds upon existing Semantic Web standards such as the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and the Extensible Markup Language (XML).

Intellidimension’s release of RDF Gateway v1.0.3 includes a package of inference rules for OWL and RDF Schema (RDFS). In addition, this release includes improved query optimization, N3 and N-Triple support, dynamic model maintenance, graph merging, and new security features.

About RDF Gateway

RDF Gateway is a combination application, web, and database server for the Semantic Web. Its native RDF database engine enables powerful federated queries to be performed across multiple internal and external data sources. It provides developers with a familiar Active Server Page (ASP) and JavaScript programming environment with an integrated SQL-like query language for working with RDF data.

A free 30-day evaluation of RDF Gateway is available at http://www.intellidimension.com
