First professional Wiki Server Released for the iPhone & iPod Touch

Victoria, BC (PRWEB) May 28, 2009

Corporate Smalltalk Consulting Ltd. has just released “WikiServer”, the first full-featured mobile Wiki server application for the iPhone and iPod touch. Using WikiServer, it is possible to create a fully functional Wiki hosted on the iPhone or iPod touch. Company President John McIntosh indicates that content can be as simple as words, or more complex such as formatted text; up to and including audio/video, PDFs, JavaScript and style sheets.

Using WikiServer, wiki pages can be served via a WiFi network to other users who have desktops, laptop computers or other mobile device browsers, and there is no limit to the number of users that can be served. As a personal Wiki using the iPhone’s touch screen browser interface, WikiServer lets you store, edit, and display content. This makes it possible to share a Wiki instantly with everyone on a network at the office, a conference, or coffee shop.

“Amazing”, “Huge potential”, “Limitless possibilities” are some recent product review comments posted by users of the Apple App Store. The application is receiving 5-star ratings as a useful organization and wireless communication’s tool for business. Professionals that use their iPhone or iPod touch to access pdf manuals can upload various PDF documents to the Wiki, then use WikiServer to design and format an interface to best interact with those documents. The Browser Screen will then display the PDF documents in a format of your choosing. WikiServer will also allow the uploading of word documents, photographs, the creation of blogs, and access to Twitter
