M-Files 9.0 User Interface Configuration Capabilities Enable Partners to Develop Custom ECM Applications

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 18, 2012

M-Files Inc., the developer of M-Files flexible cloud, on-premise, and hybrid enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, today announced that M-Files 9.0 features a new user interface (UI) extensibility framework that enables partners and customers to build unique custom applications that incorporate best-in-class content and business process management based on M-Files.

Given the increasing importance of efficient and secure management of critical business documents, information and processes in a variety of industries, M-Files Partners can leverage the M-Files ECM platform to deliver exclusive solutions with their own unique look and feel that are tailored to specific industries, businesses and use cases.

The new UI extensibility framework in M-Files 9.0 enables extensive customization of the M-Files user interface by allowing developers to configure the M-Files client application using standard HTML and JavaScript. As a result, M-Files partners and customers can build new industry or process-specific applications that include robust metadata-driven enterprise content management functionality, including version control, indexing and fast search, secure access permission control, workflow and business process automation, reporting, analytics and business intelligence, paper document capture and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), backup and disaster recovery, records management and archiving, and regulatory compliance support.

“The M-Files UI extensibility framework empowers our partners and customers to create killer apps that incorporate best-in-class content and process management,” said Greg Milliken, president of M-Files Inc. “At the same time, it’s possible to dramatically simplify and focus the interface to give priority to the most critical functions while also making the system extremely easy to use. As a result, solutions based on M-Files 9.0 can be unique and targeted to specific industries or markets. This capability provides our partners a compelling opportunity to create their own exclusive intellectual property that differentiates them and expands their product and service portfolio.”

“As an M-Files partner, we’re pleased that M-Files continues to make major improvements to their ECM platform, especially when they make it easier for us to offer our own unique solutions,” said Tracy Kollman, software solutions support specialist at Marco and an M-Files 9.0 user. “M-Files 9.0 makes it easier for us to offer something that isn’t offered by anyone else, while also enhancing our ability to deliver specific capabilities that help our customers in regulated markets to meet their compliance and records management requirements.”

In addition to the new UI extensibility framework, M-Files 9.0 offers a variety of new features and enhancements related to mobile access, search, cloud and hybrid cloud deployments, long-term archiving, ease of use and more. The beta version of M-Files 9.0 is currently available, with the official launch scheduled for late September 2012.
