Oshyn Partners with Crispin Porter + Bogusky for VW Marketing Site

Oshyn, Inc. announced the launch of a strategic marketing Web site for Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B) for Volkswagen. Oshyn develops custom Web sites and applications that meet the needs of its clients and their customers. CP+B is a full service advertising agency with creative, media, planning/research, account service and production for print and broadcast.

Oshyn talked with the clients information technology (IT) department and adhered to their back-end development guidelines, as well as ensuring the front-end look and feel coordinated with the overall branding and campaign-specific guidelines. Oshyn managed the portions of the project for which IT was required. Meeting tough advertising timelines dictated by the larger campaigns of which they often are a part goes with the territory and here again Oshyn rose to the challenge.

The completely new web site called Ego Emissions Index is posted at http://egoindex.com/. The site is part of a larger campaign that consists of television and print.

Two major challenges were that the site: had a tight timeframe between project start and launch, and was highly interactive and required a stable back end and content management for campaign clerks to manage the information posted in the site. CP+B hired Oshyn to get the job done based on previous experience it had with the firm, and on the firms reputation for meeting nearly impossible timelines.

Oshyn produced a database-driven, consumer-facing site using industry-standard database technology and scripting on the backend. On the front-end, Oshyn used the latest Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology. The intent of using Ajax is to make the Web pages more responsive to an end user by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire Web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change.

Diego Rebosio, Oshyn CEO summarized the engagement: The result was a solid site that was launched on time, on budget and with no headaches or surprises. Our customer was extremely happy with the resulting work which was part of a very successful campaign. CP+B plans on using Oshyn for further work with other clients.
