Transport Company management made easy with updated eCoachManager

(PRWEB UK) 24 May 2012

A new version of the revolutionary transport booking system e-coach manager has now been released, after six months of development. The updated web-based booking software is now available to new and existing customers.

ecoach manager is a computerised system which simplifies the successful operation of a coach, minibus, or taxi company of any size. It automatically handles every aspect of the management, from customer enquiries to driver allocation and job completion. The system can be easily configured to each companys individual needs and is easy to operate.

Significant enhancements have been made to the user interface for this second revision. There are now more search features for quickly finding jobs, instant visual graphs for monitoring progress and scheduled reports can be sent to users via email.

The updated system makes the everyday running of my company so much easier and helps us to secure business that otherwise may have been lost due to incomplete quotes in the system, said Mark Bond, managing director of The London Minibus Company.

The addition of a report facility gives me, at a glance, updates as to where we are in terms of sales, number of enquiries, and what type of vehicle is most popular. It is essential marketing information, which I can use to improve my marketing strategy, said Paul Lumbar, sales director at CoachHire.com.

Mark Walker, chief technical officer at eCoachManager, explains just how simple the new interface is to operate: The job comes in, pops up on your screen, you open it up, check all of the details, and give it a price if the system hasnt automatically priced one. If its a new booking, then it takes three clicks to assign it to a driver. Once its assigned to a driver, the customer gets an email with the drivers details, the driver gets an email with the customers details, and it all gets updated on the system.

Before, we had a little search box where you could put in the customers name, or email, or the quote number to find jobs. Now you can also use dropdown boxes for what status the bookings in, whether youre booking in a new quote, whether its paid or not, and so on. Its a lot quicker and easier to narrow down the results and find the job youre looking for. The accounts department can easily find all bookings that are not paid, for example.

The second revision of eCoachManager is unique in its ability to record and alert users to partially completed quote enquiries, where customers have been part way through requesting a quote using the online form, but never completed it. It also features individual logins for regular customers who pay on account, with the option of assigning them their own pricing structure. The integration of AJAX Technology a type of JavaScript also means that the system is constantly updated without the need to refresh pages.

eCoachManager gives clear, concise, simple to use management for all our quotes, bookings, and contacts. Our customers like the prompt responses they get from the system and we like the fact that we can personalise our contact with them to give a friendly, personal service, said Gloria Jones, transport manager at The Coach Hire Company.

Future iterations of eCoachManager are expected to include an intelligent pricing system, which adjusts prices automatically based on a variety of metrics and historical data; an action screen for easily finding jobs which need immediate action; an advanced audit trial to find out exactly who has done what and when; and multilingual support. eCoachManager is currently looking to obtain worldwide licenses for the software to be anywhere in the world and in any language.

A free version of eCoachManager is also in development. It will offer coach, minibus, and taxi companies access to limited features, including the ability to find and accept work. The business management aspects of the software will only be available in the full version.
